Day 693
Now 365 days after Thistle’s E.ON contract failed on 30/11/16
Now 030 days after Thistle’s E.ON contract failed on 31/10/17
- An unexplained and massively failed £8,500,000 contract, mostly paid for by taxpayers’ funds, strangely without penalty clauses now, in its 693rd day and 365 days late.
- A full year late, with no explanation, no answers to letters or emails, telephone calls result in “Not available” or the latest ruse, “Not at their desk“.
- Letters from residents’ solicitors ignored.
- Constant spin, deflection, manipulation, stories, fibs and downright lies.
- No accounting of the millions of pounds of funds held by Thistle.
- Major building defects ignored, despite a damning independent BBA inspection.
- Major doubts as to whether appropriate planning permissions applied for, Thistle refuses to discuss or enter into any dialogue.
- Meaningless and never achieved completion dates.
- Constant arguments with the selected contractor, E.ON.
- No discussion of appropriate compensation to residents.
- A year late and scaffolding going back up again.
- Illegally using existing close cableways despite being told to halt and desist.
- Eighteen months after paying for security doors, a £300,000 plus contract mostly funded by taxpayers, no sign, specification refused, no installation dates, no discussion.
- Refusal to provide guarantee details.
- Toryglen residents forbidden to apply for membership and shareholding to Thistle Housing Association in order to deny the calling of any Special General Meeting and consequently protecting the positions of the Association’s Director, Chairperson, senior management and the puppet Management Committee.
Meanwhile, Thistle remains silent
