Corrupt Thistle Housing Trashed by Scottish Housing Regulator AGAIN!

1,681 DAYS – FOUR YEARS + 7 MONTHS + 7 DAYS
since Thistle’s mismanaged Major Works Programme started on 7th January 2016
1,353 DAYS – THREE YEARS + 8 MONTHS + 15 DAYS
since 30th November 2016 when “all of the works to all of the houses in Toryglen will be complete“. Today, Friday 14th August 2020, still incomplete, work proven to be shoddy and more importantly, dangerous and now possibly hazardous to life and limb with millions of pounds required for rectification work. Thistle Housing has hardly lifted a finger to rectify their misdeeds

Yesterday, the Scottish Housing Regulator, under pressure from external sources, was forced to release its latest Engagement Plan of the corrupt, mismanaged and tribal Thistle Housing Association.

All of those who caused and effected Thistle’s failure, disGrace McColgan, the now booted Director, Brenda Wilson, a previous, everlasting chairperson and devout liar, together with the non local and never explained Patricia Jamieson, disGrace’s boozing buddy and also chairperson have all gone. The now vanished without trace bookkeeper, Jim Naismith has not been seen for months as neither has the hundreds of thousands of pounds of disappeared money but Thistle did replace all the door locks after he went. With one exception who remains, so far.

So, of those who caused the downfall of Thistle, who is left?

Daniella Sprott. The self admitted “Ah’m no’ technical” Operations Manager. The fount of all failures. Quoting her own words, “IT’S MY FUCKIN’ PROJECT” as she spat at the failed E.ON creatures, who changed frequently and often. Yes, it was her project until it all unravelled. Then it wasn’t as she fumbled in her deep bag of lies.

Is there no culpability, no responsibility in Thistle? Can they simply do what they like and attract no blame or consequences?

Why would all and any of this be?

Simple. Toryglen residents have been underestimated, minimised, forgotten and ignored by those huge salary grabbers in Thistle Housing. Hey, that worked really, really well.

They, all of them, one way or another, are gone. Except Miss Sprott. So far. Why would that be? Again, only and because Toryglen residents pulled together, did some really difficult work and dug in with tenacity.

The quick follow on is, why is Miss Sprott still being allowed to avail herself of her huge salary package? Endless failure, her lies, stories and possible fraudulent actions regarding the as yet unexplained E.ON contract which was poisoned with so many alleged fiddles, backhanders and ineptitude, with its inception, planning, undertaking and ultimate failure at the hands of those who hadn’t sufficient wit or intelligence but were fly enough to repel complaints and requests for information.

Currently, there are NO local representatives on Thistle’s Management Committee. The last two, other than Mrs Wilson and Mr Cannon who resigned recently, due to Thistle’s outlandish and unexplained spending of hundreds of thousands of pounds (of Toryglen residents’ money) on so-called investigations (none of which has ever been published), have been dumped leaving only the Regulator’s statutory placemen. So much for one of the founding democratic principals of housing associations whereby they were managed by local people for the benefit of local people. Not that Thistle ever did any of that stuff.

Yesterday, the Scottish Housing Regulator issued the latest edict on Thistle Housing. It is damning. It’s long and comprehensive and brings to the fore the recognition of Thistle’s corrupt manipulation of the Toryglen estate throughout its nineteen year management, or rather, mismanagement. It confirms that both management and (the majority of) staff are and have been incapable, to say the very least. These are the people who have blamed others for their failures?

Screenshot 2020-08-14 at 12.02.34JUST IN TODAY – Sanctuary’s interim proposals for takeover were received by Toryglen residents today. As yet, not on Thistle’s website. Oh, it took so long but late tonight, it appeared. See here. Thistle, not exactly in the forefront of ability, capability or culpability.

Wonder where their poisoned mantra of, “Ye’ll dae as yer fuckin’ telt” is working out?

Pretty much aligns with residents’ discussions although there are some questions which need to be asked. Images of the interim proposals can be seen at the end of this post.
